Accessibility Statement
The L663 · l663.guide
Our Commitment
The L663 is committed to making our platform accessible to all users regardless of ability or technology. We aim to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards across all pages.
Conformance Status
The L663 is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are actively working to address known gaps.
Accessibility Features
The following features have been implemented across the platform:
- Semantic HTML — proper heading hierarchy, landmark elements (
<main>,<nav>,<footer>), and ARIA attributes - Keyboard navigation — all interactive elements are accessible via keyboard, including form controls, navigation links, and consent dialogs
- Skip to content — a "Skip to content" link is available at the top of every page for keyboard and screen reader users
- Focus management — visible focus indicators on all interactive elements, focus trap on modal dialogs (consent banner)
- Color contrast — text and interactive elements meet WCAG 2.1 AA minimum contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text and UI components)
- Screen reader support — ARIA labels on icons, form inputs, and interactive
components; decorative elements marked with
aria-hidden="true" - Responsive design — content is accessible and usable across screen sizes, from mobile to desktop
- No motion dependency — no content requires animation or motion to be understood
Known Limitations
- User-submitted photographs — build submission photos uploaded by community members may not include descriptive alt text. We add alt text editorially when publishing, but coverage may not be complete.
- Third-party content — external links, affiliate destination pages, and embedded content from third parties are not under our control and may not meet the same accessibility standards.
- PDF documents — if any future content is provided in PDF format, accessibility of those documents may vary.
